The works of God are evident all around us. It is amazing and beautiful how every single thing about nature effortlessly displays the splendour and intelligence of our Creator.

Everything that is created by God is for His glory. Apostle Paul admonishes us in 1 Corinthians 10:31:

So then, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you may do, do all for the honour and glory of God.

Every Christian has God living in Him and working in Him both to will and to do of His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). What this means is that our lives should be an expression of who God is and bringing glory to Him. However, the mistake we make is limiting this expression to certain activities which we consider ‘holy’.

Every single thing we do, no matter how ‘trivial’ it seems, should be considered as unto the Lord, even eating and drinking.

You do not have a secular life and a Christian life. You have just one life – the God-kind of life. Let everything about that life bring glory to God. This includes how you relate with others, how you look, what you say, your habits, and so on.

Your thoughts and motives should not be borne out of a desire to satisfy yourself, but to see to it that you shine as a light in the world, reflecting the glory of the Father. We belong to Him, and He is the one in whom we live, move and have our being. He is our Life. Therefore, our living should indeed be unto Him.
