Maximizing Relationships To Actualize Purpose | Busayo Oladimeji

Gen 2:18, ‘And the Lord God said, it is not good that man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him’

Can man exist alone.
Can man be independent
Can man exist alone?
Can man be independent of others?
Do you really need people’s help?

From our opening text, we see that man cannot exist alone. Try as we might, we cannot be independent of other people. We are all connected whether directly or indirectly and that is what makes a relationship. It is much more than sharing the same blood or the same last name; it is the state of being connected. A connection brought you into this world, and as you journey through life, you will establish new connections; passively or actively.

I know we use Gen 2:18 in the context of courtship and marriage, but I want us to be open minded to understand the deeper meaning of that scripture. God created Adam and gave him a mandate, “Be fruitful and multiply, replenish the earth…..” Adam ran with that mandate. He named the animals, he took care of the garden but that is as far as he could go. Did he have the capacity to fulfil purpose? Yes. What he lacked was a connection to transport him to the next level.
Relationships can take any form; with parents, siblings, pastor, friends, relatives, co-workers, neighbors, spouse etc. The list is endless.

My goal is this:
• Help you understand the sync between your relationships and actualizing purpose.
• Help you discern between fruitful and toxic relationships.
• Help you maximize your relationships.
If everyone is fulfilling purpose, how sweet the world will be. Then there will be a fulfilment of the scriptures, Rev 11:15, ‘The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ……’
Till next week… ……….
